What a difference a year makes

What a difference from one year to the next.
Spring brought way too much rain and gray skies.
As you can see tomato plants are much shorter and thinner than last year.
Maybe there's still hope.

I'm hoping for some warm sunny days in July, although it's not starting out that way here in Virginia. Look forward to watching your fabulous tomatoes through the rest of the season!

My 2 tomato plants are skinny and not thriving like they did last year, either. I have a couple of tiny tomatoes, like the ones you put the quarter next to. That's unusual for this time in VA. I thought it was just me--glad to see that an experienced heirloom tomato grower is having a similar issue this year. It has been much cooler and wetter than usual...perhaps the source of the problem...?
